I just used to buy a lot of t-shirts and I
decided to start making my own things. That was when I moved to Manchester actually. And, yeah, I’ve just been involved in it ever since And I’m obsessed, and, yeah, it keeps on growing and growing. And I’m glad I’m in this city. There’s a lot of inspiration and people that I’ve met that have helped on the journey as
well. I like to put a little bit of dark humour
in there. I think that’s what makes Deadnight recognised. But yeah, it’s mainly, I like to use what’s around me. .
Rather than take inspiration from, for example, American culture. I don’t do that. I like to take inspiration from what I know,
what I grew up with. So I’ve got some new stuff coming out which
has a little nod to Manchester. So, yeah, I’m always looking to incorporate
what’s close to me, into the designs. Even from subtle graphics to just blatant,
in your face, ‘Manchesterness’. I’m still picking up bits of inspiration from
where I am. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else really. There’s no rule book, compared to a giant business. Everyone’s doing what they want to do around here. And it’s nice to see.
