I’m really excited to be testing out the 2020 7’0″ Pro by Starboard here in Maui. These are built for explosive maneuvers, high performance, speed, power and flow. Super happy with the new 2020 Pro. It’s pretty crispy actually. It feels really nice off the bottom. It holds its rail and has some good release at your top turn. I’ve really been enjoying the transition between the turns as well. It’s got a lot of flow. It’s a really good board. All the Pro boards by Starboard are performance shape for serious riders seeking world-class waves. So, if you’re ready to pick up your level, get on a Pro board. The short outline makes it easier and faster to maneuver the board. With a wider outline on the bottom part of the board, this allows for driving acceleration down the line yet at the bottom of the tail, it’s pulled in allowing for a nice, smooth, steep takeoffs and explosive maneuvers off the back of the board. The diamond-shaped nose adds for forward volume increasing stability while paddling through the water while also giving us opportunity to rip high-performance manoeuvers without the rail catching in the water. Thin rails are designed for a sharp turn as it generates speed down the line. The channeled tail provides speed and drive for high-powered maneuvers Keeping a constant rocker curve throughout the board allows for on-demand manoeuvers and immediate rail-to-rail transitions. The new Starboard Pro board in the Blue Carbon technology is the lightest we’ve experienced yet for our designs. The fins are placed closer to the rail for sharper and quicker response during maneuvers and as well, it comes with thruster and quad fin setup for your preference. From hollow reef breaks in Tahiti to your backyard beach breaks this range of Pro boards rips. I’m Zane Kekoa Schweitzer, and this is my Pro model. See you on the water.
